The Role
As an SEN Primary Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Teach across the primary age range, with the flexibility to support pupils up to age 13.
- Differentiate learning effectively, using a range of strategies and resources to ensure accessibility for all.
- Create a safe, structured, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and specialist staff to deliver a holistic learning experience.
- Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching plans as needs evolve.
- Build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, keeping them informed and involved in their child’s development.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for someone who is:
- A qualified teacher with QTS.
- Experienced in teaching children with SEN, ideally within a primary or middle school setting.
- Confident in using positive behaviour management strategies.
- Skilled at differentiating lessons and using creative approaches to engage diverse learners.
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Comfortable teaching pupils up to age 13 and adapting lessons to suit varying developmental stages.
