Hays Education are working in partnership with a number of Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and mainstream schools with SEN provisions across the Blackpool area. Due to increasing demand, we are seeking passionate and adaptable SEN Teachers to join our pool of supply staff.

Your new role

As a Supply SEN Teacher, you will work on a flexible basis, covering planned and unplanned absences. You may be placed in a variety of settings including:
  • Special schools (SEMH, ASD, MLD, PMLD)
  • Resource bases within mainstream schools
  • Alternative provision units
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children with SEN (either in a teaching or support capacity)
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A flexible and proactive approach
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
