SEN Teaching Assistant

Hays Education are working closely with a range of SEN schools and mainstream schools with specialist SEN provisions across Preston. We are currently recruiting dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our supply team to meet growing demand.
Your new role
As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils with a variety of additional needs including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD/SLD)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment. Roles may involve 1:1 support, small group work, or general classroom assistance.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN
- A patient, resilient and nurturing approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
