Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with special educational needs (SEN)? We are currently recruiting for a committed Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded school in the Preston area, offering specialist support across both primary and secondary phases.
The school provides a nurturing and inclusive environment for pupils with a range of general learning difficulties, including autism, speech and language needs, and cognitive delay. As part of a dedicated team, you’ll help pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop key life skills.
Your new role
- Deliver one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
- Assist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
- Support pupils in developing communication, social and academic skills
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- A patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping pupils reach their potential
