• School based in south Birmingham, approximately a 10-minute drive from the city centre
• The role is to cover a vacancy whilst the school advertises for a January appointment, any member of staff covering on a temporary basis are more than welcome to apply
• The role will be from September – December 2025 and will be on a temporary term time-only time sheet basis
• The person concerned will be working with pupils of a secondary age who have Autism and, in some instances, other additional special needs
• They will be teaching within the class group across the curriculum which is adapted to work with the varying levels the pupils are currently at
• The school require the person concerned to have QTS and also to have experience of working within a Special School
• They also need to have significant experience of working with children and young people with Special Needs, specifically ASC
• From their previous practice, they need to be able to demonstrate that they have met the needs of a range of children with complex needs and Hays Education need to be able to obtain recent references that reflect that experience
