SEN PE Teacher - SEMH

We are currently working with an SEN school who are looking to employ a teacher to carry out a long-term temporary assignment.
The school will consider unqualified teachers who have the relevant experience.

  • The school caters for pupils with SEMH from Primary through to Secondary and operates on different sites for the various key stages
  • The role would be to start in February and run through till the end of the academic year
  • The role is Monday to Friday, 8.30 am till 3.30 pm each day and would be on a term-time only time sheet
  • The person concerned will be working with pupils with social, emotional and mental health challenges
  • Depending on their area of sports coaching strengths, they will be reporting to the PE lead of the school and delivering tailored sessions to various groups of pupils during the academic year
  • Experience of working with children with SEMH is important and experience of Team Teach or an understanding of this or other de-escalation techniques is desirable
  • The school will provide Team Teach training as part of their ongoing support
  • Pay will be according to the person’s qualifications and experience in line with MPS or the unqualified teaching scale
