SEMH Teacher – Prestwich Area

Your New Job
Are you a versatile and compassionate teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting? This is a unique opportunity to join a hospital school in the Prestwich area, supporting pupils aged 11–19 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. In this full-time, term-time-only role, you will teach across two hospital school sites and occasionally deliver education in the community. You’ll support pupils receiving inpatient care and those transitioning back to their home schools or colleges. The ability to teach a range of subjects and adapt outside your specialism is essential, as is the capacity to build strong, trusting relationships with vulnerable learners. Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality teaching across multiple subjects and key stages.
  • Support pupils in completing work set by their home schools and colleges.
  • Provide education both on-site and in community settings.
  • Foster positive relationships and emotional wellbeing in a therapeutic environment.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, therapists, and education staff to meet individual needs.

What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
