Security Remediation Specialist | Knutsford (occastional travel to site) | Inside IR35
We are seeking a Security Remediation Specialist to support a major Active Directory and identity security improvement programme. This role will focus on analysing security findings, implementing remediation activities and ensuring sustainable, long‑term improvements across the organisation’s directory and identity estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and prioritise Active Directory security findings, assessing severity and determining appropriate remediation actions.
- Implement technical fixes including configuration hardening, GPO updates, permission corrections, resolution of insecure settings and remediation of privileged groups or service accounts.
- Clean up AD objects by removing or correcting stale, orphaned or misconfigured accounts, computers and SPNs.
- Coordinate changes with AD, IAM, platform and application teams, ensuring all updates follow formal change control processes.
- Document remediation steps, maintain tracking logs and provide clear status reporting to security teams and project stakeholders.
- Recommend process improvements and support the development of ongoing monitoring and governance practices to reduce recurrence of vulnerabilities.
