Operating both in the UK and across the world, they are a leading contractor delivering projects across multiple sectors including; real estate, defence, education, highways, rail and water.

Your new role

Joining a leading contractor on one of the most prestigious highway projects in the area you will joing as a section engineer working alongside Agents and Engineers.

Lead, supervise, and mentor the site team to ensure effective performance and successful delivery of works in line with design specifications and contract requirements.
Develop and maintain detailed lookahead programmes.
Monitor and communicate progress regularly.
Create comprehensive plans for your section to support efficient execution.
Prepare temporary works design briefs.
Review design outputs and raise technical queries with design teams to resolve issues promptly.
Maintain accurate site records and raise requisitions as needed.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with scope requirements.
Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within your section.
Generate Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Manage material approvals to ensure compliance with project standards.
Conduct Health & Safety inspections and take appropriate corrective actions.
Promote and implement environmental awareness initiatives within your section.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree in Civil Engineering or HND in Civil Engineering and vocational training in Engineering.
Knowledge and understanding of construction and contracts.
Health & Safety and Environmental Management training (SMSTS, SEATS).
Relevant CSCS Card
