Secondary Teaching Assistant | Wigan | Start ASAP | Long-term

Are you a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact in a secondary school setting? Hays Education are working with a welcoming and inclusive school in Wigan to recruit a committed TA to provide general classroom support and assist with targeted interventions across Key Stage 3 and 4.

This is a long-term role, starting ASAP, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Your new role:

Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Providing general classroom assistance and helping manage pupil behaviour.
Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions to support learning and progress.
Assisting with planning and adapting resources for pupils with varying needs.
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.

What you'll need to succeed:

Experience working in a secondary school or with secondary-aged pupils.
A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above preferred).
A flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Hays).
