Seasonal Gardener's

Seasonal Gardener (April–September)
36 hours per week
Public Sector Role – Based in Bangor

Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in creating attractive green spaces, and wants to make a visible difference in the local community? We’re looking for a Seasonal Gardener to join our team from April to September.

Monday to Thursday – 08:00 – 16:00
Friday – 08:00 – 14:00

About the Role

As a Seasonal Gardener, you’ll help maintain and enhance our parks, open spaces, and public grounds during the busiest months of the year. You’ll work as part of a friendly, supportive team committed to keeping our environment clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general horticultural tasks including grass cutting, planting, pruning, weeding, and watering
  • Maintain flowerbeds, borders, shrub areas, and seasonal displays
  • Operate and maintain a range of ground‑maintenance equipment
  • Ensure public spaces are kept tidy, safe, and visually appealing
  • Work effectively as part of a team and follow health and safety procedures

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys practical outdoor work in all weather conditions
  • Has experience in gardening, grounds maintenance, or a related field (desirable but not essential)
  • Can use horticultural tools and machinery safely
  • Works well independently and as part of a team
  • Has a positive attitude and takes pride in their work
