Science Technician job in Leicester | Temporary

Full-time | Temporary | Immediate Start

I am working with a school in Leicester that is seeking a proactive and reliable Science Technician on a temporary, full‑time basis.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Supporting the delivery of science lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics Preparing, setting up and safely maintaining laboratory equipment and materials
  • Ensuring all experiments follow health & safety procedures
  • Organising and storing chemicals and apparatus securely
  • Assisting teachers during practical sessions where required
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised lab environment
  • Managing stock levels and ordering resources when needed

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Previous school-based or lab technician experience
  • An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work safely at all times
  • Good literacy, numeracy and basic IT skills
  • A calm, dependable approach and the ability to multitask confidently
  • A solid understanding of lab safety procedures
