This secondary school's Science Department is thriving, and we are seeking a skilled Science Technician to join the team and support teaching and learning in the sciences.
The Role
As a Science Technician, you will:
- Prepare and set up practical experiments and demonstrations for science lessons
- Maintain and organise laboratory equipment, chemicals, and resources
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Provide technical support to staff and students during practical sessions
- Assist in the safe disposal of materials and management of stock levels
✅ Requirements
- CLEAPSS trained (essential)
- Previous experience working in a school science department or laboratory environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
