Science Teacher job – Leicester-based to start in January or sooner

  • Start date: January 2026 (or sooner)
  • End date: July 2026
  • Full-time & long-term role
  • Teaching Science at KS3 & KS4
We are working in partnership with an Ofsted 'Good' 11-16 secondary school in Leicester who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher from January or sooner. This is a full-time and long-term job until the end of the academic year. There is a possibility this could extend or become permanent for the right candidate. Due to this being a long-term job, full teaching responsibilities will be required, including planning and marking.

Job Description

  • Delivering engaging and creative Science lessons.
  • Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing feedback.
  • Contributing to the development of the department’s curriculum.
Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. ECT's welcome to apply.
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
  • Recent experience teaching English at secondary school level.
  • Strong behaviour/classroom management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff members
