Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for your next opportunity? At Hays Education, we’re working in partnership with a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Skelmersdale to recruit a dynamic Science specialist to join their team from January 2026 until the end of the academic year in July.

The Role
You’ll be teaching General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum, and contribute to the wider life of the school.

✅ What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Science at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
