Your new company

Forming part of the Senior Leadership team, this role will work with the headteacher to help the school meet its educational aims. Overseeing the financial resources, administration and general management of the school, this plays a key role in helping the efficient running of the school.

Your new role

Reporting to the headteacher, the role will include:

• Financial management – evaluate and work with the SLT to prepare a balanced budget for the school and submit to governors identifying any areas of concern or risks that should prompt action.
• Leadership and Strategy – Attend SLT, helping to negotiate and influence strategic decision-making within the schools' leadership team and, in the absence of the headteacher, delegate and take responsibility for financial decision-making.
• Help support on facilities matters, overseeing any issues that arise.
• Manage the whole administrative function and lead staff.
• Act as a health and safety coordinator.
• Work with the IT manager and help lead the function.
• Manage payroll and HR systems interface.

What you'll need to succeed

We are looking for a finance professional, someone that is either qualified or qualified by experience, who is comfortable leading the budgeting process. In addition, you should have good leadership ability, with the ability to lead and manage a wide range of different staff. It would be beneficial if you worked in an educational setting.
