Your new role

These innovative and welcoming schools in the Preston and Fylde coast area are looking for part-time science technicians to join their friendly and supportive science department on a temporary basis. These positions are part-time (2–3 days) and will occasionally require some flexibility on working days within the week.

• Prepare and maintain equipment, materials, and resources for practical lessons
• Support teachers during experiments and demonstrations
• Uphold excellent health and safety standards across all laboratories
• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed to create a safe, inspiring learning environment

What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant vocational qualification in laboratory or science-related activities or equivalent experience
• Good knowledge of scientific techniques, equipment and materials
• Commitment to health and safety in schools
• Strong commitment to supporting students’ learning and achievement.
• Flexible and proactive approach to work
• Willingness to undertake further training and development as required.
