If so, you could be the ideal candidate for our temporary School Receptionist position at a high school in Chorley.
Your new role
We are seeking a professional, welcoming, and highly organised School Receptionist to join the front office team of a busy high school in Chorley. This is a key role that requires a warm and approachable manner, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, helping to maintain a safe and supportive school environment.
This is a full-time, term-time only job, working Monday–Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm. The role is temporary on an ongoing basis, with an initial commitment until Christmas.
Experience working in a school setting is essential. A DBS on the update service and familiarity with school systems such as SIMS and Arbor would be advantageous.
Duties may include:
- Answering and directing telephone calls with professionalism and discretion
- Greeting and signing visitors in line with safeguarding procedures
- Managing incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence
- Supporting pupil attendance tracking and data entry
- Coordinating appointments and meetings with parents and external agencies
- Assisting with general administrative tasks and reprographics
- Upholding school policies on safeguarding, confidentiality, and data protection
