This vibrant and inclusive school is committed to providing a supportive and dynamic learning environment. They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic PE Technician to join their team and support their Physical Education department.

Job Description

As a PE Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the PE department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Equipment management: Maintaining, preparing, and setting up sports equipment and facilities for lessons and extracurricular activities.
  • Support for PE Staff: Assisting PE teachers during lessons and events, including setting up and taking down equipment.
  • Health and Safety: Ensuring all equipment and facilities meet health and safety standards.
  • Inventory Management: Keeping an accurate inventory of all PE equipment and ordering new supplies as needed.
  • Administrative Duties: Assisting with administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and communication with students and parents.
  • Event coordination: Supporting the organisation and execution of sports events, competitions, and school sports days.

Skills and Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within the specific subject area.
  • A full driving licence is desirable.
  • A passion for sports and physical education.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
