Student Support Mentor – Castlecroft area, Wolverhampton – Full Time
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people? We’re working with a small, specialist school in the Castlecroft area that provides tailored support for students aged 5–16 who are at risk of exclusion or have already been excluded from mainstream education.
This nurturing and inclusive setting offers a fresh start for students who need a different approach to learning—one that prioritises emotional wellbeing, personal development, and re-engagement with education.
A Legacy of Support in Castlecroft
Alternative provision near Castlecroft and the wider Wolverhampton area has developed over the years to meet the needs of students who face barriers to mainstream education. These schools were established to offer safe, structured, and therapeutic environments for children dealing with behavioural challenges, mental health issues, or difficult personal circumstances.
Supported by the City of Wolverhampton Council, alternative provision settings in the area focus on preventing exclusions, re-engaging learners, and preparing them for successful transitions—whether back into mainstream education, specialist settings, or post-16 pathways. Quality assurance processes ensure that these provisions meet high standards in areas such as engagement, progress, and long-term opportunities.
