School HR Administrator, Atherstone CV9, 10-month contract – March 2027, Monday–Friday, 8.30AM–3PM
Your new company
An academy within a large trust of schools based in CV9, is looking to appoint an HR Administrator to support their HR Team on a temp / FTC basis across three of their sites.
Your new role
The role is a 10-month contract until March 2027. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time, 8.30am – 3pm.
As an integral member of the HR team, the post-holder will assist the Regional HR Business Partner, taking responsibility for HR administration within three academies. The role is hybrid with travel to two other locations – Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
About the role:
- Support recruitment activity across the setting, working with Recruitment Coordinators where required.
- Maintain accurate employee information across HR systems, including data entry, routine and ad‑hoc reporting, and supporting the annual data‑cleansing process.
- Ensure colleagues and line managers can easily access and follow ATT HR policies and procedures.
- Oversee the administration of the probation process.
- Support the staff induction process to ensure a smooth and positive onboarding experience.
- Assist in managing the holiday booking process for permanent staff.
- Maintain organised and up‑to‑date personnel files (both paper and electronic).
- Liaise with Payroll to ensure all new starters, leavers and contractual changes are processed correctly.
- Process staff changes and leaver documentation, arranging exit interviews where needed.
- Produce HR correspondence such as contract variations, maternity letters and holiday entitlement letters using standard templates.
- Minute‑take at formal HR meetings, including disciplinary, capability and grievance hearings.
- Monitor fixed‑term contracts and ensure timely follow‑up actions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in an HR or administrative role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels
- A proactive approach, working on own initiative.
- Strong IT skills, including experience working with HR systems and Microsoft Office
- A discreet and professional approach when handling sensitive information
- A genuine interest in supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment
