School Finance Officer needed in Liverpool. Full time starting asap.

Your new company

Working with a SEND school based in Liverpool, supporting children with SEMH needs, this job is full time as School Finance Administrator with office management responsibilities.


Your new role

Working Monday – Friday, 8.30 – 3.30 during term time, you will lead a team of 2 as well as taking on responsibility for finance admin. The school uses Arbor as their MIS.


Day to day duties will include:
  • Managing information in Arbor
  • Ensuring compliance with finance regulations and controls
  • Drafting budgets and providing forecasts/ financial information as required
  • Check accounting procedures
  • Reconcile monthly card transactions and payroll reports
  • Banking cheques

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this post you will need a background in handling finance and payroll data, ideally in a school setting. You will be comfortable working independently with finance regulations and offer advice on where processes can/ need to be changed. You will have experience managing a team, and working in a busy office environment. You will have excellent communication skills and be professional when dealing with visitors to the school as well as internal staff.
