Admissions and Finance Administrator Job Available at Primary School in Rusholme

A Primary School in Rusholme are seeking a highly organised and proactive Admissions and Finance Administrator to join their dedicated team on a temp to perm basis. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting key operational functions across admissions, finance, and general administration.

Location: Rusholme, M14
Contract Type: Temp to perm
Hours: Full-time, term time only or AYR
Salary: £25,584 - £27,269 DOE
Start Date: 3rd November

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate admission meetings to ensure timely pupil intake and full capacity.
  • Maintain and update admissions spreadsheets.
  • Input all admissions data into SIMS accurately.
  • Chase and update missing pupil information.
  • Request Common Transfer Files (CTFs) from previous schools where applicable.
  • Action pupil data corrections as directed by the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Process monthly catering returns for SBM authorisation.
  • Sync MIS data with Eduspot/Teachers2Parents systems.
  • Manage finance email inbox and distribute queries appropriately.
  • Process purchase orders and invoices using FMS.
  • Maintain and reconcile after-school club income records.
  • Action ParentPay refunds with SBM authorisation.
  • Maintain pupil records on SIMS including annual data collection and ad-hoc updates.
  • Manage PPM spreadsheets and coordinate service visit bookings.
  • Oversee website checks and liaise with One Education for updates.
  • Monitor first aider certification, coordinate training with DHT, and update distribution lists.
  • Track and update annual supplier insurance certificates.
  • Support GDPR compliance including privacy notices and retention schedules.
  • Handle school meal correspondence including debt letters and follow-up calls.
  • Undertake ad hoc tasks as delegated by the School Business Manager (SBM).

Key Skills/Experience:
  • Experience in school admissions and/or finance, ideally with SIMS and FMS
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Punctual, reliable and approachable
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet management
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
