Whether you’ve worked in caretaking before, come from a maintenance/DIY background, or simply have great practical skills and a can‑do attitude, fantastic opportunities are available now across local schools.

What You’ll Be Doing
✨ Carrying out general repairs, maintenance, and basic DIY
✨ Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and secure
✨ Opening/locking the school and managing key‑holder responsibilities
✨ Conducting regular health & safety checks around the premises
✨ Supporting cleaning teams and managing supplies
✨ Setting up rooms and equipment for school events & activities ✨ Keeping outdoor areas tidy and hazard‑free
✨ Ensuring the school site is clean, safe, and secure
✨ Opening/locking the school and managing key‑holder responsibilities
✨ Conducting regular health & safety checks around the premises
✨ Supporting cleaning teams and managing supplies
✨ Setting up rooms and equipment for school events & activities ✨ Keeping outdoor areas tidy and hazard‑free
What You’ll Need
✔ Previous caretaking or maintenance experience (school experience welcome but not essential)
✔ Practical skills and confidence handling basic tools/DIY tasks
✔ Strong reliability, initiative, and attention to detail
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ An enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one via Hays)
