Experienced Caretaker Needed in Eastbourne!
School Caretaker | Eastbourne | £13.68 - £15.00 per hour | Temp – Perm
This school is looking for a practical, reliable, and proactive School Caretaker to join their team. This is a vital role that helps ensure the schools remains a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors.
What you will be doing:
- Maintain the school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
- Carry out minor repairs, basic plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Open and secure the premises daily, including alarm systems.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems.
- Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
- Ensure outdoor areas are tidy and safe.
- Liaise with contractors and oversee site works.
- Always uphold health and safety procedures.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in caretaking or maintenance role (preferred but not essential).
- Practical skills in DIY, repairs, and basic facilities management.
- A proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
