School Caretaker | Brighton | £13.68 - £15.00 per hour | Temp – Perm
This school is looking for a dependable and hands-on School Caretaker to help keep the school safe, clean, and running smoothly. If you take pride in practical work and enjoy being part of a friendly school community, this could be the perfect role for you!
What you will be doing:
- Maintain the school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
- Carry out minor repairs, basic plumbing, and general maintenance.
- Open and secure the premises daily, including alarm systems.
- Monitor heating, lighting, and security systems.
- Support with setting up rooms for school events and activities.
- Ensure outdoor areas are tidy and safe.
- Liaise with contractors and oversee site work.
- Always uphold health and safety procedures.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in a care-taking or maintenance role (preferred but not essential).
- Practical skills in DIY, repairs, and basic facilities' management.
- A proactive attitude and strong sense of responsibility.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
