About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) seeking an experienced School Administrator to join their established administration team from September.
The successful candidate will be primarily based at the N20 campus, with occasional travel to a second site in EN5, located approximately five minutes away by car. You will work alongside two experienced office colleagues, supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of both sites.
This role would suit an organised, adaptable and proactive administrator with previous school-based experience and a good working knowledge of SIMS or another school Management Information System (MIS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing front-office and administrative support to staff, pupils and visitors.
  • Managing and directing incoming calls via the school switchboard.
  • Supporting pupil admissions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Updating and maintaining pupil information using SIMS or another MIS system.
  • Assisting with attendance administration and general school processes.
  • Preparing letters, reports and other administrative documentation.
  • Supporting wider administrative functions across both campuses.
  • Providing excellent customer service to parents, carers and external professionals.
  • Working closely with the wider administration team to ensure efficient office operations.
About the Environment

As a Pupil Referral Unit, the setting supports pupils who require additional behavioural, emotional or educational support. Applicants should be comfortable working in an environment where challenging behaviour and occasional inappropriate language may occur. Full support and guidance will be provided by the school's experienced leadership and pastoral teams.
