The Role
The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Expert is responsible for the technical & operational delivery of multi‑channel marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, ensuring compliant, high‑quality execution, accuracy and a data‑driven approach to customer engagement. The role requires close collaboration with multiple business stakeholders to understand campaign requirements, translate them into actionable briefs and build & deploy journeys, audience segments & marketing assets within Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next that support commercial and brand objectives across markets. While this role is hands-on within the platform, it does not include platform development.

Job Description
  • Consult with business stakeholders to understand business & campaign objectives, audiences, messaging priorities, desired outcomes and reporting structure
  • Translate campaign briefs into technical Marketing Cloud configurations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with the overarching marketing strategy
  • Advise on Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities, constraints and best‑practice execution approaches
  • Build and execute global digital marketing campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Next, configuring journeys, automation logic, and data flows to meet business requirements.
  • Work with the Data Science team on segmentation and audience targeting strategies
  • Create and refine data filters and segmentation logic to target specific audiences effectively but also make data entry within forms effortless
  • Manage the end‑to‑end delivery of campaigns, coordinating cross-functional inputs to ensure on-time and within-budget deployments
  • Ensure campaign activity meets GDPR and consent‑management standards in partnership with the Compliance & Platform Governance Manager
  • Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Marketing Cloud Next campaign executions, ensuring reliability, performance, and continuous optimisation
  • Support ongoing enhancement of campaign processes by suggesting improvements and ensuring best‑practice usage of Marketing Cloud Next features and capabilities
  • Conduct full QA including rendering checks, deliverability checks, data validation and tracking/tagging verification
  • Deploy multi‑channel campaigns across email and any other activated channels
  • Ensure governance framework to maintain exceptionally high accuracy and attention to detail across all builds, tests and deployments
  • Monitor campaign performance to identify issues, trends and opportunities for optimisation, cycling this into subsequent campaigns for continuous improvement
  • Plan and execute structured test‑and‑learn programmes (e.g. A/B Testing) to build a strategic communications playbook
  • Produce clear performance reporting and translate insights into recommendations
  • Ensure effective tracking and measurement are embedded in all campaigns
  • Collaborate with the Marketing department to brief and ensure timely delivery of required content
  • Partner with the SFMC Product Owner to request platform feature enhancements
  • Document campaign configurations and processes

  • Consult with all areas of the business to understand requirements, reinterpreting them into use cases, and filtering them into a tangible roadmap
  • Act as single point of contact for one-off Distributed Marketing and Client Journey related enquires, ensuring legal requirements are fulfilled whilst optimising business opportunity for opt-in
  • Stakeholder management of regions, interacting on a daily basis to understand their local requirements, support their needs, and deliver technical developments on their behalf.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Cloud product owner in Munich to ensure products are highly effective and the contribution to the wider company is understood.

What you should bring along?
  • Minimum three years’ experience of managing Client Journeys, Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, CRM platform project management and technical affinity is essential
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable managing multiple senior stakeholders across multiple campaigns
  • Highly competent digital marketing expert with hands-on experience
  • Interest in database developments in marketplace and latest technological offerings
  • Technically literate and comfortable working with detailed business process
  • Collaborative and able to manage numerous business requirements and stakeholders at one time
  • Systems and technology knowledge
  • Salesforce experience mandatory (Salesforce Admin, Marketing Cloud, Einstein)
  • Experience with Marketing Cloud Next and Data Cloud is beneficial
  • Proactive and solutions‑focused with a strong analytical mindset
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to sustain relationships in different regions, time zones etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to simplify the complexity of the topic to a broader audience
