Role: Salesforce Business Analyst
Location: Hull City (Hybrid 2–3 Days/Week)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

The purpose of this role is to provide systems-focused Business Analyst expertise within the internal Systems team. The position will support both short-term tactical analysis and long-term strategic system improvements, contributing heavily to future phases of a major internal transformation programme.
This role will be highly focused on requirements' elicitation, validation, process improvement, documentation, and ensuring system capabilities align with business needs. You will also drive the adoption of standardised processes and best practices within the systems function, helping strengthen engagement with wider business teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business plans, objectives, and operational needs. Define, document, and review business processes to ensure they support strategic goals.
  • Act as the lead Senior Business Analyst, representing the IT function on major projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Identify system or process improvement opportunities using KPIs and business insights
  • Lead requirements gathering activities, producing documentation such as:
    • User stories
    • Acceptance criteria
    • Functional specifications
  • Validate that delivered system enhancements meet defined requirements
  • Bridge the gap between business and IT—translating complex technical information into clear, accessible language and vice versa
  • Collaborate with external vendors to define, manage, and deliver system or IT-related changes
  • Report progress, risks, and updates regularly to the Head of Systems
  • Maintain and prioritise the systems backlog across tactical and strategic workstreams
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within an IT function
  • Strong background in functional & non-functional requirements gathering, documentation, and prioritisation
  • Ability to create and execute system/user test plans
  • Experience in leading or mentoring a small team
  • Competence in creating end-to-end process documentation
  • Experience or exposure to the Salesforce ecosystem (highly desirable)
  • Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies
