Sales Executive (Food Manufacturing)

About the Role


Hays is partnering with a leading food manufacturer in Northampton to find two proactive and motivated Sales Executives to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for sales and a desire to grow with a company.
Your main goal will be to profitably manage and grow a specific portfolio of accounts. You'll be responsible for maximising sales opportunities and expanding the company's market presence.


What You'll Be Doing


  • Driving Sales: Achieve sales targets by selling the company's product range to both existing clients and new prospects.
  • Building Relationships: Proactively canvass new business and nurture relationships to ensure profitable, long-term growth.
  • Marketing & Administration: Support marketing campaigns, attend industry exhibitions, and maintain accurate records in the company's GoldMine CRM system.
  • Customer Service: Assist with order processing, manage logistical issues, and ensure customers receive their deliveries on schedule.
  • Social Media: Promote the company's activities on professional platforms like LinkedIn and Instagram.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Manager and other teams, including Technical and Logistics, to ensure smooth operations.
Who We're Looking For


We are seeking a proactive and self-motivated individual who is confident and articulate, especially over the phone. While a background in sales is ideal, it is not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Requirements:
  • A desire to learn, grow, and contribute to the company's success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer literacy with a working knowledge of Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to multitask effectively.
  • A full UK driving licence is required for occasional travel and exhibitions.
This is an office-based role, but you may be required to travel and stay away from home occasionally.
