We are seeking an experienced Reward / Benefits Project Specialist to roll out a new benefits platform.
Are you a Reward specialist with deep expertise in benefits platforms and reward transformation? We’re seeking a Reward Manager / Reward SME / Compensation & Benefits Specialist to lead a project to review, design, procure, and implement a brand new Benefits Platform as part of a wider organisational transformation programme.
This is a key role for an experienced reward professional who can combine technical knowledge with strong project leadership to deliver a modern, engaging employee benefits experience.
About the Role
As the organisation moves through a period of significant change, you will be responsible for shaping the future of the employee value proposition. Your primary focus will be to modernise the benefits offering, leading the end‑to‑end procurement & development of a new benefits platform that aligns with organisational priorities, enhances employee engagement, and supports recruitment & retention.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Platform Design & Implementation
- Lead the full lifecycle of designing, selecting, procuring, and implementing a new employee benefits platform
- Conduct analysis, stakeholder engagement, and market reviews
- Deliver a seamless implementation with strong change and communication plans
Reward Expertise
- Apply deep technical knowledge across benefits, compensation, and reward structures
- Provide subject‑matter expertise to senior leaders and HR colleagues
- Ensure reward offerings remain compliant, competitive, and aligned to organisational goals
Benefits Platform Procurement (with Procurement Team)
- Working with the procurement team, you will oversee the procurement process end‑to‑end, including tender documentation, supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations.
- Build strong relationships with platform providers and external partners
Candidates
- Significant experience as a Reward Manager, C&B Specialist, or Benefits SME, Reward Consultant, Compensation & Benefits Specialist
- A track record of implementing benefits platforms and leading reward transformation projects
- Deep understanding of compensation, benefits, and recognition frameworks
- Ideally, experience of procurement of external benefits' provider platforms.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational awareness
- Preferable experience of public sector or large complex organisations (highly desirable but not essential)

Offer
- 12 months fixed term contract
- Hybrid role - Ideally 2-3 days per week on site in Dorset but open to discussing working patterns
