Retail Marketing Specialist
Duration: 12 months initially
Pay Rate: Umbrella £25.60 - £29.33 per hour depending on experience
Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 (35 hours per week with 1-hour lunch break)
Location: Tongwell, Milton Keynes – Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)
Start Date: ASAP

Your New Role:
As a Retail Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in planning, delivering, and optimising high-impact marketing campaigns across a nationwide retail network. Working closely with Marketing Managers, retail partners, internal stakeholders, and agency partners, you will help drive engagement, maximise campaign effectiveness, and support the achievement of business objectives.
A core part of the role is building strong, trusted relationships with retail partners, recognising their vital role in bringing campaigns to life locally, driving adoption, and delivering commercial success.

You'll Also:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Marketing Managers and retail partners, encouraging collaboration and the sharing of best practices across the network.
• Foster proactive engagement through regular meetings, quarterly marketing forums, site visits, and ongoing communication.
• Deliver clear and insightful updates and communications through internal channels, ensuring alignment with key business priorities and campaign activity.
• Support the management of the Marketing Activation Fund (MAF), helping retail partners maximise marketing investment and generate leads and sales opportunities.
• Analyse spend data and campaign performance to identify efficiencies, improve ROI, and promote best practice across the network.
• Act as the voice of the retail network, gathering feedback and insights to influence campaign planning, creative development, and activation strategies.
• Plan, implement, and continually optimise digital marketing campaigns in partnership with cross-functional teams, agencies, and retail partners.
• Support the delivery of showroom and customer events by providing high-quality digital assets and marketing materials designed to enhance customer experiences and drive engagement.
• Represent the Retail Marketing team in meetings, sharing insights and contributing to campaign excellence.
• Monitor campaign performance and report on key metrics, using data-driven insights to improve future activity and maximise results.
• Champion brand consistency across all marketing communications and customer-facing activity.
• Oversee Marketing Activation Fund budgets, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and transparently.
• Review and evaluate retail partner marketing plans, identifying opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement.
• Produce reporting on campaign expenditure and performance, providing visibility of return on investment and supporting strategic decision-making.
• Manage reimbursement processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to retail partners.
• Respond to retail partner enquiries and provide ongoing support to the network.
• Coordinate with wider marketing teams to ensure consistency and alignment across all campaigns and initiatives.
• Track projects and activity using project management tools, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
• Previous experience in the Automotive industry within a marketing, digital marketing, retail marketing, or communications role.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Experience planning, delivering, and evaluating marketing campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
• Experience managing budgets and understanding marketing ROI.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A proactive, collaborative, and customer-focused approach.
• Good understanding of digital marketing channels and campaign optimisation techniques.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira would be advantageous.
