Your new role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people to achieve their potential. You will work closely with children, helping them navigate their daily lives, address their challenges, and prepare for future independence. Your responsibilities will include providing support, advice, and guidance while ensuring a safe and respectful living environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • A Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or a willingness to work towards it).

  • 2 years experience working with children in residential care.

  • Effective record-keeping skills and a strong understanding of confidentiality.

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards, including the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.

  • Skills in managing challenging behaviours and supporting children with complex needs.
