This well-established and highly regarded regional law firm has a strong presence across Bristol and the Southwest. Known for delivering high-quality legal services and fostering a progressive, people-focused culture, the firm is committed to employee wellbeing and professional development. As part of its continued growth, they are recruiting for several exciting roles within their Residential Property department:
- Senior Associate Conveyancer – Lead a busy Residential Conveyancing team
- New Build Conveyancer – Specialise in new build transactions
- Residential Conveyancers – Handling a wide range of residential property matters, including sales, purchases, transfers, and remortgages.
Your new roles
You’ll join one of the largest and most respected Residential Conveyancing teams in Bristol, spanning four of our five offices. Our department is highly regarded and frequently receives excellent reviews on Google and Review Solicitors. We focus on quality over quantity, avoiding a high-volume business model to ensure exceptional client service.
Depending on your role, responsibilities may include:
- Managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, transfers, remortgages, and/or new build matters
- Interviewing clients, taking instructions, and maintaining detailed file notes
- Drafting and reviewing contract packages, raising enquiries, and submitting searches
- Preparing title, mortgage, and search reports; acting for mortgage lenders
- Handling exchanges and completions, ensuring compliance and AML checks
- Preparing bills of costs, completion statements, and liaising with Accounts
- Networking with local estate agents and property developers
- Participating in marketing and business development initiatives
Senior roles include team leadership responsibilities such as mentoring junior staff, managing workflows, and contributing to strategic growth. You’ll also have access to a bespoke internal management programme designed to support progression to Legal Director level.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or Licenced Conveyancer with significant experience in residential property law. For specialist roles, experience in new build transactions will be highly advantageous. You should be confident managing your own caseload independently, and for senior positions, demonstrate proven leadership skills. Strong communication, organisational, and IT capabilities are essential, along with a proactive, client-focused approach and confidence in networking and marketing activities.
What you’ll get in return
You’ll join a firm that truly values its people, offering a supportive and inclusive working environment with a strong emphasis on wellbeing. You’ll enjoy flexible and hybrid working options once you’ve completed your probation, along with clear career progression pathways, including opportunities. You’ll also benefit from access to a bespoke management academy and have the chance to raise your professional profile through involvement in marketing initiatives and legal directory submissions.
What you need to do now
If you are interested in any of these roles or would like further information, please do not hesitate to get in touch. If these jobs aren’t quite right for you, but you are exploring new opportunities, feel free to reach out for a confidential discussion about your career.
We would expect lawyers or conveyancers with the given experience to meet the requirements, but this does not preclude applications from those with more or less experience.
