Regulatory Reporting - Subject Matter Expert, London, Operations, Banking

A global financial institution is seeking a Regulatory Reporting SME to join its growing Regulatory Operations Assurance function. This role offers the opportunity to shape and implement a robust governance and control framework for regulatory reporting. This position is central to ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of regulatory trade and transaction reporting across multiple regimes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement governance and control frameworks for regulatory reporting changes.
  • Validate production changes from a regulatory perspective.
  • Collaborate with other Operations teams to ensure accurate implementation of regulatory deliverables.
  • Support UAT testing and define test strategies to detect issues.
  • Engage with external assurance vendors and manage reconciliation processes.
  • Produce MI to senior stakeholders on the status of regulatory change.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with reporting standards.
Required Experience
  • Solid experience in a regulatory reporting role.
  • Strong knowledge of MiFID II, EMIR, CFTC, SBSD; familiarity with HKMA and CSA is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of trade lifecycle and operational processes.
  • Experience working across asset classes including Equities, Bonds, ETDs, and OTC derivatives.
  • Familiarity with APA/ARM software for transaction reporting
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Fidessa, Murex, and PowerBI is a plus.
