Strategic Regulatory Role – International Focus | Public Sector | £56K+
Location: Brighton (Hybrid – 6 days/month in office)
Salary: £56,490
Contract Type: Permanent (36 Hours)

A public sector organisation is seeking a strategic engagement professional to lead its relationships with domestic and international regulatory bodies. This role involves representing the organisation’s policy positions, monitoring global regulatory developments, and advising senior stakeholders on emerging risks and opportunities.
The successful candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in public policy or regulatory strategy, and the ability to influence and collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders. This is a high-impact role contributing to long-term strategic goals in a complex and evolving policy environment.
While pensions-specific expertise is beneficial, we welcome applicants with broader regulatory policy backgrounds.
About the Role
As the Regulatory Affairs & Global Engagement, you’ll:
- Represent the organisation's regulatory and strategic positions to domestic and international stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, and industry leaders.
- Monitor and analyse policy developments that may impact the UK pensions landscape.
- Provide clear, evidence-based advice to senior stakeholders and contribute to board-level strategy.
- Lead strategic engagement initiatives and support cross-organisational collaboration.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- Proven experience in strategic engagement and stakeholder management at senior levels.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex policy and legal documents.
- Excellent communication and political judgement, with the ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
- Experience shaping public policy or regulatory strategy in a complex environment.
- Ability to synthesise insights from subject matter experts and align diverse views.
Desirable:
- Experience working with government or regulatory bodies, ideally with international exposure.
- Knowledge of pensions policy, financial regulation, or related fields.
- Experience advising Director-level or Board-level stakeholders.
