Hays are seeking a reliable and professional nighttime receptionist on a flexible and bank holiday basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has excellent customer service skills, and is comfortable working overnight. This role is based in Salford, Manchester. Hours are 8pm–8am.

Your new role

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist visitors, clients, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Monitor building access and ensure security protocols are followed
  • Answer incoming calls and direct them appropriately
  • Handle basic administrative tasks such as logging visitor details, managing deliveries, and maintaining reception area cleanliness
  • Respond to emergencies or incidents in line with company procedures
  • Liaise with overnight staff and management as needed

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer service role preferred
  • Ability to work independently and remain alert during night hours
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic IT skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, email systems)
  • Flexibility to work bank holidays and occasional overnight shifts
