This is a temporary role for a minimum of 3 months – possibly longer.
Site based covering all the University Campus's – Talbot Campus (for the first month of training) - Bournemouth Gateway Building and Bournemouth Executive Suites.

✨ Role Overview
As a key front-facing member of the Estates team, the Receptionist plays a vital role in delivering a welcoming, efficient, and secure environment for staff, students, and visitors. This position requires excellent communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail across a range of administrative and operational duties.️ Key Responsibilities
- Reception Management: Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area, responding promptly to enquiries from staff, students, and the public.
- Diary Coordination: Manage and monitor schedules for meetings, conferences, and official visits. Liaise with relevant staff to ensure smooth coordination.
- Visitor Support: Provide visitors with appropriate documentation, including location maps and parking permits, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Database Administration: Input and retrieve data from Estates systems accurately and efficiently.
- Key Control: Oversee the secure release and return of keys, maintaining detailed logs of all transactions.
- Access Card Programming: Issue and program access cards as required, ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained.
- Facilities Communication: Liaise with Facilities Assistants and Maintenance personnel via radio to coordinate support and services.
- Emergency Response: Act as Fire Marshal or Warden when needed, reporting alarm activations and supporting evacuation procedures.
- Security Incident Handling: Assist with procedures related to theft or loss of student vehicles (cars/bikes), ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-up.
- Administrative Support: Carry out general clerical, administrative, and postal duties as directed by line management.
- Reception Coverage: Provide cover at any University reception desk as required, maintaining consistent service standards.
- CCTV Monitoring: Monitor and coordinate the CCTV system when necessary, supporting campus safety and security protocols.
