An inspiring Reception Teacher is needed in Featherstone (WV10) on M1–M6.

Position: Reception Teacher
Location: Staffordshire (based in Featherstone)
Contract Type: Full-time
Pay: M1 – M6 (Main Pay Scale)

This role is initially offered for the length of the current school year, with strong potential for the position to become permanent depending on performance and staffing needs.

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join a supportive and committed primary team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive classroom culture and deliver high‑quality teaching that supports pupils’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Year 4 national curriculum.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress using a range of assessment tools.
  • Implement effective and consistent behaviour‑management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and senior leaders.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers through clear and positive communication.
  • Participate in staff meetings, CPD activities, and wider school initiatives.
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and ensure pupil wellbeing at all times.
Person Specification
Essential:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
  • Strong understanding of Year 4 curriculum requirements.
  • Ability to differentiate learning to support a variety of needs.
  • Confident in maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
Desirable:
  • Experience in diverse or high‑needs primary settings.
  • Knowledge of current UK educational practices and assessment frameworks.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities.
