Reception Teacher - Blackburn - September Start

I am currently working in partnership with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Blackburn to recruit a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher for a September start.

Your new role

You will take full responsibility for a Reception class, delivering engaging, play-based learning in line with the EYFS framework. The successful candidate will create an inclusive and stimulating environment that supports children’s early development both academically and socially.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Planning and delivering creative, high-quality EYFS lessons
  • Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
  • Observing, assessing, and tracking pupil progress
  • Creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
  • Contributing to the wider school ethos and community

What you'll need to succeed

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within Early Years (Reception preferred)
  • Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • A passion for early childhood education
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to teaching
