Your new role
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged pupil with complex and severe special educational needs in a mainstream primary school based in Kilburn. This is a full-time role to start immediately, with long-term potential.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be working 1:1 with a pupil who presents highly challenging behaviour, including physical aggression and biting. The child has significant communication and sensory needs, and requires a consistent, calm, and confident adult to support them throughout the school day. You must be able to implement behaviour strategies, work closely with the SENCO and external professionals, and maintain a safe and nurturing environment.

Essential requirements:
- Experience supporting children with severe SEN, ideally in EYFS or KS1
- Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience
- Team Teach or similar de-escalation training (desirable)
- DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
