Your new school

A vibrant and diverse primary school in Lambeth is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Reception team. The school places a strong emphasis on inclusion, emotional wellbeing, and early intervention, with a nurturing approach to supporting pupils with additional needs. You’ll be part of a dynamic staff team that works closely with families and external agencies to ensure every child has the best start in life.

Your new role As a Reception SEN TA, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of needs including autism, speech and language delays, and sensory processing challenges.
  • Assist in creating a structured and engaging learning environment tailored to individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised learning plans.
  • Use play-based and sensory strategies to support development in communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience working with EYFS children with SEN, ideally in a school or nursery setting.
  • A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development and inclusive practices.
  • A DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
