Your new company
You will be joining a long‑established regional building contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high‑quality projects across industrial, commercial, education and public‑sector markets. The business is known for its strong client relationships, low staff turnover, and its commitment to developing and progressing its commercial teams.
They offer the stability of a well‑resourced main contractor with the feel of a supportive, close‑knit environment where your contribution genuinely makes an impact.

Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a significant new build industrial development in Manchester. This is a large, high value steel frame scheme forming part of a wider pipeline of major projects across the North West.

Your role will include:
  • Full commercial management of the project from start to final account procurement of subcontract packages and management of supply chain performance.
  • Cost reporting, valuations, change control and forecasting
  • Working closely with the Project Manager to ensure contract and programme compliance
  • Supporting the wider commercial team on future tenders and regional growth plans
  • This is a role suited to someone who enjoys autonomy, technical challenge and working on major projects with long-term local work.

What you’ll need to succeed
  • Experience as a QS or Senior QS within a main contracting environment
  • Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Ability to manage procurement, cost control and commercial reporting independently
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills
What you’ll get in return
  • Salary up to £60,000 (DOE)
  • Car/allowance, pension and industry-leading benefits package
  • Long-term local projects across the North West
  • Supportive management, stable pipeline and real progression opportunities
