Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering - Main Contractor - Strong Project Pipeline

Your new company :

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to join a thriving Civil Engineering Contractor in the Northwest. This team delivers a diverse portfolio of mechanical and electrical maintenance projects for high-profile clients across the rail and infrastructure sectors. Operating in a fast-paced environment, the team undertakes a wide range of engineering works, with a strong focus on M&E, Distribution & Plant, and civil engineering. The role offers exposure to complex infrastructure projects and the chance to work with experienced professionals in a collaborative setting.

Your new role :

  • Manage applications for payment and ensure timely receipt
  • Prepare and negotiate final accounts and variations
  • Deliver accurate cost/value reports and forecasts
  • Support procurement and subcontractor management
  • Provide commercial support to project teams
  • Maintain strong client relationships and ensure contractual compliance

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Experience as a Quantity Surveyor in rail, M&E, or power engineering
  • Degree qualified, ideally with RICS or ICES membership (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong commercial acumen within a contracting environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
