A leading provider of civil engineering solutions across Northern Ireland is currently recruiting a Quantity Surveyor. With a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects, they are committed to innovation, safety, and excellence in every aspect of our work. Due to continued growth, they now require a Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial Team in Mid-Ulster.
Your new role
You will be a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor, ideally from a background in civil engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost and contract management across a range of civil engineering projects, ensuring value for money while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Requirements:- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Manage project costs from initial calculations to final accounts.
- Monitor and report on project progress, costs, and variations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure financial efficiency.
- Prepare and evaluate subcontractor packages and procurement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and safety regulations.
- Support cash flow forecasting and cost reporting.
- Assist in dispute resolution and claims management.
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role within civil engineering.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., NEC, JCT).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and cost management software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
