Quality Controller role, full-time permanent job

Your new company

A well established food manufacturing business operating within a high volume, highly regulated environment is seeking a Quality Controller to join its Quality team at its site in County Monaghan. The business supplies products to major customers across Ireland and international markets and places a strong emphasis on food safety, quality compliance and continuous improvement across its operations.

Your new role

As Quality Controller, you will report directly to the Technical Manager and play a key on site role ensuring that product quality and food safety standards are consistently achieved. You will work closely with production teams to carry out routine quality checks, hygiene and GMP audits, and ensure full compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, statutory and customer requirements. Your role will involve investigating non-conformance and customer complaints, supporting corrective and preventative actions, monitoring quality KPIs and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also support audits, assist with staff training, complete accurate documentation and help maintain and improve the site’s Quality Management System. This is a hands on role requiring flexibility, strong attention to detail and the ability to support additional sites as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 2–3 years experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of HACCP and Quality Management Systems
  • Essential experience working to BRCGS standards and supporting audits
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
  • Full clean driving licence and own transport, with flexibility to support other sites if required

What you'll get in return

  • Permanent, full-time Quality role within a well established food manufacturing operation
  • Day shift working pattern, typically 6:00/6:30am – 3:00pm, with flexibility as operationally required
  • 21 days annual leave plus 10 public holidays
  • Uniform provided and cooked breakfast provided each morning
  • Discounted produce and company products
  • Hands on involvement in quality control, audits, complaint investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
