Hays Procurement and Supply Chain are recruiting for a market leader in offsite prefabricated energy solutions, delivering innovative and sustainable building services across the UK and Europe. With a strong reputation for turnkey design, build, and operating solutions, we’re seeking a dynamic Purchasing Manager to lead procurement for key Data Centre projects.

Your new role

As Purchasing Manager, you’ll oversee all project-specific procurement activities, ensuring timely, cost-effective sourcing of materials and services. You’ll lead a high-performing team, manage supplier relationships, and align purchasing strategies with business goals to drive operational efficiency and cost savings.

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years in procurement management, ideally within construction or M&E
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Deep knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management
• Financial acumen and experience producing management reports
• Excellent negotiation, contract management, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of procurement regulations and best practice
• Relevant qualifications in Procurement or Supply Chain Management
• Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CSCP)
• Experience with Power BI and managing M&E material ordering
