Purchasing Assistant

Your new company

This fantastic organisation is looking for a dedicated Purchasing Assistant role to join their amazing and supportive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for organising transportation for goods in and out, ensuring timely and complete receipt of all purchase orders (POs).


Your new role

  • Organise and manage logistics for incoming and outgoing goods, to minimise costs and meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure all purchase orders are acknowledged correctly, and received on time and in full, addressing any discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and carriers to resolve any issues related to deliveries.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including delivery notes and customs documents.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the transport planning function and implement best practices.
  • Foster positive relationships with suppliers and internal teams to facilitate smooth procurement processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in this sector is preferred.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Initiative, be proactive in addressing issues and managing tasks efficiently.
