Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant | Blackburn | Permanent – Full-time | £27,000

Your new company
I am recruiting for a manufacturing firm based in Blackburn who are on the lookout for a confident, proactive, and detail-driven Purchase Ledger / Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team. If you love numbers, live for spreadsheets, and thrive in a collaborative environment where personality matters just as much as experience. Working pattern is fully office-based Monday to Thursday 08:15 – 17:00 and Fridays 08:15 – 13:00.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Managing end-to-end purchase ledger processes
  • Processing around 100 invoices per week with accuracy and efficiency
  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations
  • Using Sage 200 to maintain accurate financial records
  • Supporting wider accounts functions and getting involved in scanning, CRM updates, and general finance admin
  • Embracing new challenges and contributing to continuous improvement

Skills and Attributes
  • AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel – including Pivot Tables and XLOOKUPs
  • Experience with Sage 200 is a big plus
  • A team player who’s not afraid to speak up, ask questions, and get stuck in
  • Someone who’s interactive, curious, and enjoys using spreadsheets
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • “Can do” attitude
