Purchase Ledger Clerk
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team in Theale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payment runs (BACS).
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with month-end processes and reporting.
- Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
- Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [insert system if known, e.g., Sage, SAP]).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
