Purchase Ledger Clerk

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our finance team in Theale. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounts payable experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process payment runs (BACS).
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with month-end processes and reporting.
  • Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
Skills & Experience:
  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [insert system if known, e.g., Sage, SAP]).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
